    Ashworth College

    Plumbing Course

Ashworth College Plumbing is among the most specialized and respected skills in the building trades. Plumbers help make sure water runs cleanly, reliably, and at the right temperature. Toilets flush, wastewater is treated, and pipes stay secure with plumbers' help. And when pipes burst, freeze, or leak, a plumber is usually the only one who can fix it! And as home remodeling and home construction continues, knowing how to install, maintain, specify, and troubleshoot plumbing fixtures and systems could be very valuable to you. With Ashworth Career School's convenient home study plumbing trade course, you'll learn how it's done!

This nationally accredited distance learning diploma program teaches professional-level plumbing skills, helping to prepare you for what could be a satisfying new career. Comprehensive lessons teach you about exterior and interior plumbing pipes and connections, commercial and residential systems, and installation and repair procedures.

You'll start with plumbing plans and design: planning drainage piping, cross-connection, and venting systems; understanding specifications, scale drawings, and plumbing symbols. Then, you'll learn about fixtures: installing, maintaining, and repairing commodes, sinks, bathtubs, showers, whirlpools, hot tubs, drinking fountains, water heaters, air conditioners, water filters, sprinklers, and more. Next, you'll learn about waste disposal, and then materials and tools: working with cast iron, steel, malleable iron, copper, and plastic pipe and fittings; installing pipes, valves and faucets; using tapes, squares, levels, saws, files, snips, pipe cutters, wrenches, vises, solders, brazing rods, and scaffolds.

There are no educational prerequisites or experience requirements to enroll. If you can use simple tools, enjoy working with your hands, and are motivated to succeed, you should do well in our course. Unlike traditional plumbing schools, home study training from Ashworth makes learning plumbing convenient, easy and fun! Request Free Information Package for more information.[ more info ]
